Baba Diop is a Senagalese-born, Oakland-based artisan whose label XELKOM creates on-of-a-kind clothing and hand-stitched shoes and accessories. Working in the red-gold-green hues of his heritage, he layers thick thread, paint and intuitive symbolism to craft pieces that honor roots, culture, and the planet.
